DIY: Reusable Shopping Bag

Inspired by my overflowing bin of "not-getting-used-fast-enough" plastic shopping bags:

And using the design of the ever-preset-in-my-house Meijer plastic shopping bag and this tutorial I found:

I sewed this sturdier, lined, reusable, old-tshirt grocery bag that (once I make like . . . 15 more of these) I can now use at the grocery store:
Oh . . . and "Freddy say No Glitchin" . . . your guess is as good as mine. I can't remember where I got this t-shirt and I have no idea what it means. I have a feeling my sister might . . . now that I think of it, I'm having a vague recollection of a a Jr High youth group retreat we went on back in the day . . .

On the Fly: Diaper Cake

My husband's aunt and I are throwing a baby shower for his cousin's wife. She's due sometime in early April and the shower is going to be at the beginning of next month. I think I was inspired by my super crafty and creative Aunt Kath on this one. It was more labor intensive than I thought it would be but was still kinda fun to make. Especially hiding the little presents in the middle.


There's 144 diapers in there!

I found this cute little lamb at Babies R Us and actually had this brand new bottle (from somewhere . . . I was gifted some bottles when I was pregnant with Little Miss and she never ate from anywhere other than the "tap"). I hadn't thought about it until today, but Little Miss has only even attempted a bottle possibly 2 or 3 times in her whole life. I told her doctor that today, and she was amazed!

More Shoes . . .


This is easily going to become a sewing addiction with these baby shoes.

I had some leftover fabric after I cut out my piece for my next Beco cover. I just had to use it. They may not be baby-ish, but hey, Little Miss is practically walking and is barely a baby anymore anyway!

Now I just have to figure out what she is going to wear with them. Ha ha.
