DIY: Cloth Baby Shoes
A borrowed sewing machine is better than no sewing machine at all. I hijacked my mom's sewing machine while I was home for Christmas/New Year's and have been putting it to good use. These cloth baby shoes are my latest creation.
I made them for my friend, Hilary, whose baby is due VERY SOON! Yes, I realize that they don't "match" but I think that makes them more fun. I can't wait to make more for all my little baby friends. Looks like everyone who gets preggers from now on is getting babylegs and baby shoes for their shower gifts!
I whipped these up in a few hours. I probably could have done it quicker, but it was my first time remotely following a pattern (I usually just make stuff up) and I've never sewn anything where you cut out fabric and interfacing and lining and sew them in little pieces . . . it was quite the experience, but I am really happy with them and even happier that I have more materials left over to make MORE MORE MORE!
