Well, I've made it 2/3 of the way through my Indie Biz class. We just had our Term 2 wrap-up chat on Saturday.
I have been having SO MUCH FUN in this class!
When I decided (so very last minute) that I wanted to take this class, I really had no idea what to expect. I read about it on Amy Cluck's blog (Style Crush), and from her little blurb decided it was worth taking.
I'm so glad I did! I have learned a lot, been brainstorming like crazy, and realized even more than before how much I would love to create my own little business selling things made with my own 2 crafty hands.
Hold the phones because I'm not really ready to "open up shop" just yet. My regular readers will remember that I'm in the midst of a predicament wherein I have to move this summer, so first-time home-buying is something that is very much at the forefront of my thoughts. But just behind that is my little business seedling of an idea.
Over the course of my class I have met so many great artists, crafters, sewers, designers, photographers, bloggers, and friends. In the spirit of helping them get a little free publicity, I'm going to be participating in a little blog hopping. We're calling it Blogging it Forward - Indie Biz Style. :)
It's going to run for 5 crazy weeks starting on Monday April 5th. I'll be posting this button often so you can find the list of bloggers easily.
Mark your calendars because I'll be posting here at Skooks' Playground as I take my turn in the blog hop on April 22nd. Otherwise known as Earth Day:
You're not going to want to miss out on this one. The complete list of bloggers participating can be found over at HumbleB right here.
